Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is an evidence-based manualized model aimed to reduce oppositionality in children and enhance positive caregiver-child dynamics. PCIT is designed for children between the ages of 2-7 struggling with oppositionality and defiance as well as abuse survivors and children impacted by trauma.
We offer scientifically-backed treatment for anxiety including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), PCIT for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM) PCIT-CALM, and psychosomatic strategies to reduce symptoms. We treat various anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, selective mutism and separation anxiety disorder.

Dr. Bahar Rahnama and Daphne Rahnama-Sani will be cofacilitating an educational and supportive parent-only group to learn skills for managing complex behaviors and emotions. This 6-week group will be held virtually and offered through the Sinai Akiba Academy Parenting Center beginning January 12th, 2026 from 10-11 AM.
